Marshall “Chance” Peterson
Marshall “Chance” Peterson joined the ASU Alumni Law Group in 2014 after graduating from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law with a Certificate in Law, Science, and Technology. He joined the firm because he recognized an opportunity to build his practice skills under the guidance of talented supervising attorneys, and to fill a gap in the legal marketplace by representing clients of modest means. To Chance, the Alumni Law Group represents the future of legal education and practice.
During his time in law school, Chance interned with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, studied abroad at the Universidad de Costa Rica, competed in moot court, and participated in ASU’s Public Defender Clinic. He also served as Vice President of the Environmental Law Society, and as Senior Articles Editor for Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology.
Prior to law school, Chance worked in forest ecology, was a teacher and district coordinator in South Korean public schools, and taught physics and chemistry in Phoenix. He received his bachelor’s degree in physics and education from Northern Arizona University in 2006.
